History of Global Study Program

Global Study Program, an international program offered by the Division of Continuing and Professional Education at the University of California, Davis, provides high quality education for international students who seek advanced knowledge and skills to participate in a global environment. To achieve this goal, we manage visiting study and research programs for international undergraduate students. We partner with more than 60 benchmark universities and government agencies in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America to attract talented students for undergraduate study and research at UC Davis on a nondegree basis.

As part of UC Davis, Global Study Program students have access to unique opportunities that expand their perspective, both personally and professionally. We also contribute to the university's internationalization efforts to attract and prepare a growing number of international undergraduates at the University of California, Davis.

This past year we celebrated the 18th anniversary of the Global Study Program.  Over these past 17 years we have welcomed more than 1,000 students to our campus, assisting them in countless ways to experience a life-transforming study abroad program. Students from Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam have joined the UC Davis family, enriching the fabric of our community through their research, social activities and volunteer work. We are proud of our strong history of hosting students from countries around the world and look forward to continuing to do so in the coming decade.
